Texas Licensed Compliance Counsel

Job Summary

To oversee conflicts clearance for lateral attorney recruiting across all U.S. offices, the full-time Texas Licensed Compliance Counsel will manage operational workflows, supervise compliance staff, and collaborate with various teams to ensure legal and ethical compliance while working remotely from any state where the firm maintains an office.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement policies and procedures for lateral conflicts clearance
• Provide operational oversight of lateral conflicts workflows and allocate resources as needed
• Supervise and mentor compliance staff, conducting performance evaluations and targeted training

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
• 4+ years of experience as a compliance/conflicts lawyer at a large law firm
• Thorough working knowledge of U.S. conflicts rules and ethical obligations
• Demonstrated ability to exercise risk-based judgment and provide commercially informed advice
• Leadership experience supervising and developing teams
