Texas Licensed Construction Expert
Job Summary
To support attorneys and insurance carriers, the full-time Texas Licensed Construction Expert will provide expert testimony and professional opinions on complex construction matters, manage a portfolio of projects, and collaborate with team members while working remotely from Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Expert Witness for lawsuits and insurance claims, providing testimony during depositions, arbitrations, and trials
- Conduct building inspections and property condition assessments, documenting findings and preparing summary narratives
- Analyze construction and legal documents, preparing technical reports and cost estimates for clients
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience or a blend of relevant education and field experience
- General Contractor License
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field (advanced degree or professional license preferred)
- Prior experience serving as a designated Expert Witness in construction-related litigation
- Applicable licenses and certifications that support expertise
