Job Summary
To support emergency department and inpatient teams, the full-time Texas Licensed Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist will provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations and consultations remotely, collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams across multiple hospital systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and consultations for patients of all ages in inpatient and emergency settings
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and provide guidance in clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve access to behavioral healthcare
Required qualifications:
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency
- Minimum of 2 years of consult-liaison experience post-residency
- Experience in acute-care psychiatric settings, including inpatient and emergency departments
- Willingness to provide Nurse Practitioner supervision and experience with telehealth
