Job Summary

Providing legal counsel and support to senior leadership, the full-time Texas Licensed Corporate Counsel in Insurance will navigate complex regulatory landscapes, lead the Insurance legal and compliance team, and manage strategic legal initiatives in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently provide legal counsel to senior leadership to support business objectives and mitigate risks
• Lead and develop the Insurance legal and compliance team, managing performance and priorities
• Own and manage multiple strategic legal and regulatory initiatives aligned with company strategy

Required qualifications

• J.D. with active bar membership in the US
• 3-5 years of experience in Texas, including insurance regulatory experience
• Direct experience with insurance regulatory matters, such as state DOI filings and market conduct
• Experience managing outside counsel and leading legal or compliance workstreams
• Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive successful business results
