Texas Licensed Delegating Physician

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, a Texas Licensed Delegating Physician will enter into Prescriptive Authority Agreements with nurse practitioners, conduct quality assurance meetings, and provide clinical consultation remotely on a part-time contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Enter into Prescriptive Authority Agreements with nurse practitioners and register them with the Texas Medical Board
• Conduct monthly quality assurance meetings with each nurse practitioner via video or phone
• Provide clinical consultation and support for telehealth practices focused on older adults

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas medical license
• Board certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or geriatrics
• No history of disciplinary action
• Capacity to delegate to additional nurse practitioners within Texas limits
• Current malpractice coverage that includes delegation or supervision
