Job Summary

To support patient financial needs, the part-time Texas Licensed Financial Counselor will interview patients to gather demographic and financial information, verify payment sources, and counsel on unpaid bills in a hybrid remote setting from Tuesday to Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and input patient demographic data into the Hospital Information System during interviews
• Screen patients for financial responsibility and verify their information through documentation
• Calculate charges for office visits, collect payments, and counsel patients regarding unpaid bills

Required qualifications

• One year of related experience in a financial counseling role
• Knowledge of patient coverages and funding types is preferred
• Ability to work in a standard office environment
