Job Summary
Seeking a Texas Licensed Gastroenterologist, the full-time Assistant Professor in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition will provide clinical expertise in patient care management, including endoscopic procedures, and contribute to the educational environment for residents and fellows in a hybrid onsite/remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage patient care through both endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Promote a teaching environment for residents, fellows, and trainees through active participation in educational activities
- Engage in innovative research and contribute to the daily operations of the department
Required qualifications
- Doctorate-level degree relevant to the faculty role and department mission
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by The Texas Medical Board
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- At least 2 years of experience as an Instructor or 5 years of post-degree experience in gastroenterology
- Certification in Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support
