Texas Licensed Health Information Specialist

Job Summary

To support cancer-related inquiries, the full-time Texas Licensed Health Information Specialist will provide compassionate customer service and accurate information to referring physicians and consumers through various communication channels, working onsite with a schedule of 8am-7pm including rotating weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a high volume of consumer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information while maintaining professionalism in challenging situations
• Continuously learn and apply knowledge of healthcare services and organizational resources to assist customers effectively
• Deliver exceptional customer service through active listening and personalized interactions, contributing to process improvement initiatives

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing, Education, Communications, or a related field
• One year of experience in healthcare, social services, helpline, counseling, or teaching
• Strong communication and interviewing skills to assess needs and explain complex information
• Ability to learn and utilize various databases and technology platforms
• Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining expertise in organizational policies and procedures
