Texas Licensed Hospice Veterinarian
Job Summary
Offering a unique opportunity for compassionate veterinarians, the part-time Texas Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services to pet families in Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Scenic Oaks, Texas, with a focus on professional autonomy and meaningful client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Ability to communicate with empathy during sensitive conversations regarding end-of-life care
- Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required by the position
