Texas Licensed Hospice Veterinarian
Job Summary
To support compassionate end-of-life care for pets, the part-time Texas Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services while enjoying professional autonomy and a flexible schedule in the Austin, Bee Cave, Rollingwood, and Lakeway areas.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate and guide pet families through quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life care options with empathy
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with empathy during sensitive conversations
- Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required
