Texas Licensed Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Texas Licensed Information Security Engineer for a short-term remote contract role, this position will develop and maintain threat detection, manage incident response, and implement security controls across cloud and application environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, tune, and maintain threat detections across various environments
• Investigate and resolve security alerts, coordinating incident response as needed
• Design and implement security controls while improving vulnerability management practices

Required qualifications

• Senior-level security experience with the ability to work independently
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud security experience, specifically with AWS
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanning
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like HITRUST and NIST
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
