Job Summary
Providing timely and reliable medical assessments, the full-time Texas Licensed Internal Medicine Consultant will conduct case reviews for disability determinations remotely, ensuring compliance with SSA policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical case reviews and compose assessments in accordance with SSA policies
- Review medical and non-medical evidence, identifying and interpreting relevant information
- Participate in required meetings and provide consultation on policy development issues
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited institution
- Completion of a residency and/or fellowship
- Valid unrestricted medical license in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Minimum one year of experience practicing as an Internist
