Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time remote Texas Licensed Mainframe Engineer will design, build, and support the technical infrastructure of hardware and system software, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the enterprise mainframe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads configuration, debugging, and support for IT solutions while managing the rollout of technology and system software
- Researches and analyzes business trends to identify strategic opportunities for improvements and develops cost-effective technology solutions
- Collaborates with product and project teams to enable infrastructure needs and drives root cause analysis for security incidents and service interruptions
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years supporting production enterprise z/OS mainframe infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with core z/OS systems programming and software installation & maintenance using SMP/E
- Experience with Parallel Sysplex, High Availability, and workload automation tools
- Familiarity with mainframe networking, security administration, and performance monitoring tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
