Job Summary
To support AI training initiatives, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will evaluate AI agents on fluid simulation tasks, set up and run simulations, and develop Python checks for results while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks
- Set up and run simulations using CAD geometry and build verified reference solutions
- Write Python checks to validate the results of AI agents
Required qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
- Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
- Experience with verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
- English language proficiency at B2 level or above
