Job Summary
To support the training and evaluation of AI agents in fluid simulation tasks, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will remotely set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and execute fluid simulations using CAD geometry
- Build and validate reference solutions for AI training
- Develop Python checks to evaluate the accuracy of simulation results
Required qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred
- Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
- Strong background in verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
- English proficiency at B2 level or above
