Texas Licensed Permit Technician

Job Summary

To support community development services, the part-time Texas Licensed Permit Technician will manage customer interactions, issue and track permits throughout the permitting process, and maintain organized documentation while working remotely in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Key responsibilities:

• Interfacing with customers to address building department needs
• Issuing and tracking permits from application acceptance to closure
• Establishing and maintaining organized systems for documentation and records

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Permit Technician
• 2+ years of municipal experience
• ICC Permit Technician certification preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and permitting software
• Must be located in North Texas
