Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time salaried Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients
• Order diagnostic tests and prescribe psychotropic medications while monitoring patient responses and side effects
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care

Required qualifications:

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health treatment
• Ability to work with patients across the lifespan (ages 13+)
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and substance abuse dual-diagnoses
