Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Texas Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, prescribe medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions for adolescent and adult patients
- Prescribe psychotropic medications and conduct individual psychotherapy, monitoring patient responses and medication usage
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and comply with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Comfortable working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13+)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
