Job Summary
Supporting a diverse portfolio of affordable residential properties, the remote Texas Licensed Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, day-to-day accounting activities, and cash flow analysis while collaborating with regional property management teams and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting activities, including cash management and review of accounts receivable and payable for assigned properties
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with quarterly and year-end tax, cash, and GAAP reporting
- Collaborate with the Controller and Asset Managers on monthly cash flow forecasting and prepare supporting work papers for financial statements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- 2+ years of real estate accounting experience, preferably at the residential property level
- CPA Certification is highly preferred
- Knowledge of JD Edwards, RealPage, Yardi, or other property management-related software is a plus
- Experience with federal and local housing agency reporting
