Job Summary
To represent commercial insureds in all phases of litigation, the full-time Texas Licensed Trial Attorney will manage moderate to high exposure General Liability cases while working remotely with access to a local office and support staff.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and try General Liability cases, including initial investigation and legal analysis
- Conduct pre-trial discovery, hearings, and trials, while managing post-trial activities as necessary
- Mentor less experienced attorneys and provide leadership and training across the organization
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of experience in litigation
- Member of the Texas State Bar in good standing
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal research tools such as Lexis or Westlaw
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance defense litigation
- Proven track record of effective settlement and trial skills
