Job Summary
To maintain optimal function and output at the wind site, the full-time Texas Licensed Wind Technician will perform daily turbine operations, safety checks, and quality control, while collaborating with site leadership and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Execute contractual obligations related to electrical and mechanical equipment for wind turbine generators
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on turbines
- Document all work performed and coordinate with GE's remote operations center as needed
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, plus 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or equivalent education in Energy
- Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in various environments and flexible shift schedules
