Job Summary
To support a remote healthcare team, the fully remote Texas Patient Access Specialist will manage a high volume of calls, schedule patient appointments across multiple clinical sites, and input patient information into the practice management system.
Key responsibilities
- Answer over 80 calls daily and schedule appointments according to client-specific protocols
- Gather and input patient demographic and insurance information into the system
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet departmental goals and report complex clinical issues as needed
Required qualifications
- 1 year of experience in healthcare patient service
- 1 year of experience handling a high volume of inbound calls
- Experience using an EMR and scheduling software, specifically Epic
- Strong internet speed with a minimum of 20mbps download and 6mbps upload
- Excellent communication skills over the phone
