Job Summary
To support the Higher Education business, the remote Texas Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer will serve as the technical lead for R1 research universities, developing solutions that align technology with research outcomes while collaborating with account managers and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of each institution's research priorities and decision-making processes
- Connect technology solutions to measurable outcomes, including total cost of ownership and data management requirements
- Lead evaluations, proofs of concept, and author responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to secure technical wins
Required qualifications
- 8 or more years of relevant experience in technology, solution design, and customer-facing roles
- Pre-sales or customer-facing technical experience, particularly in higher education or research computing
- Familiarity with HPC and AI environments, including data pipelines and storage solutions
- Broad technical knowledge across cloud, HPC, AI infrastructure, and data management
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical degree, or equivalent experience
