Therapy Access Specialist

Job Summary

Providing operational support to the Therapy Access organization, the remote contractor Therapy Access Specialist will verify insurance benefits, secure authorizations, and manage patient referrals while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Verify active health insurance coverage through communication with payor representatives
• Utilize payor websites to confirm insurance eligibility and submit prior authorizations
• Document interactions and maintain patient confidentiality in the CRM system

Required qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of medical insurance experience, preferably in a medical company
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience with insurance benefits and eligibility
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with CRM systems and payor sites
• Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) coverage landscape is recommended
