Job Summary
To support high-stakes safety and threat investigations, the full-time Threat Investigation Engineer will build, improve, and maintain AI-powered backend services while troubleshooting complex systems and collaborating with investigators in a remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and AI-assisted applications for threat investigation workflows
- Collaborate with investigators to identify operational challenges and translate requirements into engineering solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in rotating on-call coverage for critical investigation workflows
Required qualifications
- Strong software engineering experience, particularly in Python and backend application development
- Experience with platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or production operations
- Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and system integrations
- Practical experience working with AI-powered applications or model-assisted development tools
- Ability to independently scope technical problems and deliver maintainable solutions
