Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Tier II Network Engineer will respond to automated alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and monitor the production network environment while mentoring team members to ensure compliance with company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to automated alerts and diagnose issues using monitoring tools
- Troubleshoot level 1 incidents and escalate problems as necessary
- Coordinate with customers and technicians to resolve outages and perform periodic health checks of systems
Required qualifications
- Experience with routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP
- Minimum of 2 years in IT Operations with knowledge of monitoring applications
- Experience working within a cable provider environment
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and/or CCDP
- Experience with Optical Platforms and third-party circuit providers
