Title Examiner

Job Summary

Providing search and examination products for residential orders, the remote Title Examiner will be responsible for searching public land records, compiling necessary documentation, and collaborating with the Underwriting Department to ensure title clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Search and examine public land records to determine insurability and issue Title Commitments and related reports
• Compile records affecting real property, including taxes, bankruptcies, and liens, while setting forth title clearance requirements
• Utilize various public records search engines and closing software, and participate in company-sponsored marketing activities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience and/or training; an Associate's degree is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret industry journals and financial reports
• Strong reasoning ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Experience with public records search engines and closing software is advantageous
