Job Summary
Providing search and examination products for residential orders, the full-time remote Title Examiner will search and examine public land records to determine insurability and issue Title Commitments, RESPA Search Reports, and O&E Reports.
Key responsibilities
- Search and examine public land records to assess insurability for residential real estate
- Compile records related to real property, including taxes, bankruptcies, and liens, while setting requirements for title clearance
- Collaborate with the Underwriting Department to identify matters requiring review and approval
Required qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience, or five plus years in a related field
- Proficiency in using public records search engines and closing software programs
- Ability to read and interpret industry journals and financial reports
- Strong reasoning ability to define problems and analyze data
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
