Job Summary
As the first Trade Surveillance Analyst in a full-time remote position, the successful candidate will monitor trading activity, investigate alerts, and contribute to building the surveillance program for a new US regulated exchange.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor real-time and post-trade activity for potential manipulation and disruptive trading practices
- Triage and investigate alerts, documenting findings and determining whether they represent errors or potential violations
- Run participant inquiry workflows and escalate potential rule violations while preparing case files for review and regulatory inquiries
Required qualifications
- 2-5+ years in trade or market surveillance at an exchange or regulator, or trading compliance experience at an FCM or broker-dealer
- Hands-on experience with surveillance alert investigations, preferably in Nasdaq SMARTS or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of manipulative trading patterns and experience with digital assets investigations
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with external parties
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity and build processes in a fast-paced environment
