Transmission Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting critical streaming broadcast systems, the full-time Transmission Engineer will oversee and analyze audio/video transmissions across multiple data centers, ensuring the successful management and delivery of live linear and event broadcast streams in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Routing and monitoring multiple A/V feeds to and from facilities
- Quickly identifying and resolving issues in a live production environment
- Performing quality control and corrective actions to enhance broadcast products
Required qualifications
- Understanding of digital distribution equipment for broadcast transmission
- Basic knowledge of IP-based transport protocols (HLS, RTMP, SRT, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Prior broadcasting experience or military experience in related fields is preferred
