Transportation Planner
Job Summary
To support transportation logistics, the contract Transportation Planner will manage shipping requirements, track shipments, and monitor carrier performance while working remotely from the Wisconsin/Illinois area during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as transportation lead for specific shipping points to meet business needs
- Tender, track, and report shipments utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Monitor carrier performance and manage transportation-related issues with customers
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization internally and externally
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking in a fast-paced work environment
