Seeking a highly experienced Transportation Underwriter, the full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule for candidates within 50 miles of an office location, focusing on underwriting new commercial business, renewal policies, and policy endorsements while supporting agency profitability objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite new commercial business and renewal policies to meet profitability and production objectives for assigned agencies
- Evaluate individual risks and provide guidance and mentoring support to junior underwriters
- Assist in analyzing agency performance and develop action plans to ensure underwriting profitability
Required qualifications
- Five years of experience in commercial transportation underwriting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
- Completion of the Associate in Underwriting program and CPCU coursework
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in providing mentoring support to other underwriters
