Trial Attorney
Job Summary
To support Legal Services with back-office work, the temporary remote Trial Attorney will assist in pre-trial activities, including drafting motions, reviewing medical records, and collaborating on trial strategy, while working some EST hours.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare draft answers and dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment
- Review files for completeness post-note of issue and summarize depositions or medical records
- Identify legal issues and potential case risks while supporting litigation matters involving tort and liability claims
Required qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in defense litigation, particularly in insurance defense firms or carrier legal departments
- Strong understanding of carrier reporting requirements
- Proven ability to identify litigation risks and issues early in the process
- Experience drafting motions and collaborating on trial strategies
- Familiarity with tort and liability litigation
