Truss Repair Designer

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Truss Repair Designer will develop accurate repair designs for roof and floor trusses, manage multiple projects, and communicate technical requirements to clients and project partners in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design repairs for residential and commercial roof and floor trusses based on various documentation and field reports
• Prepare clear and accurate truss repair drawings and supporting calculations for field use
• Review construction documents for accuracy and compliance, while managing multiple repair projects to meet deadlines

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wood truss design and engineering software
• Direct experience designing truss repairs is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of building codes and design standards, including IRC and IBC
• Ability to read and review blueprints and construction documents
• A degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred but not required
