Trust and Safety Lead

Job Summary

Leading the Trust and Safety initiatives, the full-time remote Head of Trust & Safety will manage AI output safety for educators and students, develop safety evaluations, and oversee incident response processes while building and leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the safety of AI outputs, including policy development, model guardrails, and incident response
• Develop and implement safety evaluations and monitoring as part of product infrastructure
• Collaborate with Legal on compliance with privacy laws and regulations related to AI in education

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in trust & safety or responsible AI for consumer or youth-facing products
• Hands-on expertise with LLM safety tooling, including evaluations and classifiers
• Experience managing live incidents involving minors or vulnerable users
• Strong writing skills for safety documentation and incident communications
• Ability to communicate safety tradeoffs to executive and district-level audiences
