TX-RAMP Azure Security Consultant
Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives, the part-time 1099 contractor TX-RAMP Azure Security Consultant will design and secure an Azure environment, lead it through TX-RAMP certification, and manage ongoing compliance reporting remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and configure a secure Azure environment, including identity, networking, logging, backup, and encryption
- Map controls to TX-RAMP requirements and address any gaps
- Prepare and submit the TX-RAMP assessment package while answering inquiries from the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR)
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and securing Azure environments, with relevant Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, or AZ-305)
- Direct experience with TX-RAMP; TX-RAMP Level 2 certification preferred
- Hands-on experience with GovRAMP or FedRAMP
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls
- At least one security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or CISA) is required
