UCC and Tax Lien Compliance Director

Job Summary

Building and leading a specialized team, the full-time Director, UCC and Tax Lien Compliance will manage Toast's merchant liens and levies compliance programs remotely, ensuring effective operational processes and governance while transitioning functions in-house.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a state-by-state policy framework for liens and levies compliance
• Oversee day-to-day management of the compliance program, including customer communications and complex scenario handling
• Define operational KPIs and report progress to cross-functional and executive stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with UCC and tax liens, levies, and bankruptcies, including compliance management
• Proven experience managing sensitive escalations directly with customers and creditors
• Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance requirements for various types of liens and levies
• Experience in building operational models and governance structures from the ground up
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; background in banking operations or compliance is a plus
