UK Licensed Internal Medicine Consultant
Job Summary
To support UK veterinary practitioners, the part-time UK Licensed Internal Medicine Consultant will provide expert phone consultations on diagnostic test selection, interpretation of laboratory results, and case management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with veterinary surgeons on diagnostic test selection and interpretation of laboratory results
- Maintain and develop medical knowledge through self-directed learning and participation in continuing education
- Prepare educational materials and participate in organizational meetings as required
Required qualifications
- Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist (ECVIM or ACVIM) or board-eligible with extensive clinical experience
- RCVS registration is required
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment with reliable internet access
