Seeking a part-time contractor, the UKI Genealogy Content Writer will collaborate with the Editor and Program Manager to produce engaging family history narratives and contextual content, ensuring alignment with Ancestry's standards while managing deadlines remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Editor and Program Manager to develop and complete writing assignments
• Conduct in-depth historical research to support writing tasks and ensure accuracy
• Write diverse content formats, including record descriptions and personalized family history stories

Required qualifications

• Specialized experience in UK and Irish genealogy research and writing
• Degree in history, English, journalism, or equivalent professional writing experience
• Experience writing about historical events and sensitive topics
• Strong internet and research skills
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to style guidelines and deadlines
