Underwriter I

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Underwriter I will evaluate standard data related to premium, claims, and exposure, while learning to support risk management and business strategy analysis under supervision.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluates standard data to identify actionable insights and potential irregularities with guidance from the team
• Processes account activities and collaborates with internal departments to develop rates that mitigate risk
• Conducts account risk assessments and presents underwriting recommendations to clients and the organization

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience working in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
• Understanding of the health care industry and underwriting principles
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
