Underwriter I

Job Summary

To support underwriting operations, the full-time remote Underwriter I will evaluate standard data to assess risk, collaborate with teams to identify actionable insights, and assist in developing rates and account plans under supervision.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluates data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk while documenting models and tools
• Collaborates with internal teams to develop rates that mitigate risk and supports account plan execution
• Conducts account risk assessments and presents underwriting recommendations to clients with guidance

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and processes
• Understanding of the health care industry and underwriting principles preferred
