Underwriter I

Job Summary

To support underwriting initiatives, the full-time remote Underwriter I will evaluate standard data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risks while collaborating with teams to identify actionable insights and assist in developing rates that mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate standard data to understand premium, claim, and exposure risks with guidance from the team
• Assist in developing rates and account plans that optimize sustainable membership growth while mitigating risk
• Conduct account risk assessments and present underwriting recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of the healthcare industry is preferred
