Underwriter I

Job Summary

To support risk management and business strategy analysis, the full-time remote Underwriter I will evaluate standard data, collaborate with teams to identify actionable insights, and assist in developing rates and account plans while ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate standard data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk, providing actionable insights under team guidance
• Process account activities and support the development of rates that mitigate risk while collaborating with internal departments
• Conduct account risk assessments and present underwriting recommendations to clients and the organization with some guidance

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and tools
• Understanding of the health care industry is preferred
