Underwriter I

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Underwriter I will evaluate standard data to assess risk, support data analysis and reporting, and assist in developing rates and account plans while collaborating with internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate standard data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk while identifying actionable insights
• Process account activities and assist in developing rates that mitigate risk and support sustainable membership growth
• Conduct account risk assessments and present underwriting recommendations to clients with guidance

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and financial/underwriting risk management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business environments and processes
