Underwriter I

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Underwriter I will evaluate standard data related to premium, claims, and exposure while collaborating with team members to identify actionable insights and support risk management efforts.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate data to understand premium, claim, and exposure risks while assisting in the development of rates and account plans
• Process account activities and collaborate with internal departments to develop strategies that mitigate risk and support sustainable membership growth
• Conduct account risk assessments and prepare underwriting recommendations for clients with guidance from senior team members

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and risk management principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
