Underwriter I

Job Summary

To support underwriting initiatives, the full-time remote Underwriter I will evaluate standard data related to premium, claims, and exposure while collaborating with the team to identify actionable insights and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluates standard data to understand premium, claim, and exposure risks while documenting models and tools for analysis
• Processes account activities and collaborates with internal departments to develop rates that mitigate risk and support sustainable membership growth
• Conducts account risk assessments and presents underwriting recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders under supervision

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and risk management principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
