Underwriter I

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Underwriter I will evaluate standard data related to premium, claim, exposure, and population while collaborating with the team to identify actionable insights and support risk management initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate standard data to understand premium and claim risks, collaborating with the team to identify actionable insights
• Process account activities and assist in developing rates that mitigate risk while supporting account plans
• Conduct account risk assessments and present underwriting recommendations to clients with guidance

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a corporate or business office environment
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and financial/underwriting risk management
• Ability to learn and utilize models and data analytics tools
• Experience in collaborating with internal teams and external partners
