Job Summary
To achieve agreed combined ratio targets, the full-time Underwriter/Sr. Underwriter, Trade Credit will manage underwriting responsibilities, develop broker relationships, and participate in product development while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and customers through marketing initiatives and domestic travel
- Participate in the development of new products and ensure adherence to underwriting standards and procedures
- Supervise trainee or assistant underwriters and resolve underwriting issues independently
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of underwriting experience in trade credit or a related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong financial analysis experience across various countries and trade sectors
- Experience with commercial underwriting, including large multi-buyer programs and single-risk transactions
- Familiarity with insolvency legislation in major trading economies and country risk knowledge
