Underwriting Associate
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Underwriting Associate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing new business submissions, processing quote revisions, and managing bind reviews to support the Underwriting team's portfolio development.
Key responsibilities
- Handle daily transactional tasks within specified authority, including quote revisions and submission updates
- Process bind reviews and post-issuance requests while addressing any red flags or necessary underwriting reviews
- Collaborate with internal teams to support operational needs and maintain industry knowledge on workers' compensation and commercial auto lines
Required qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience with commercial lines or relevant work experience
- Familiarity with web-based research tools and cloud platforms, such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload while producing quality work
- Developed written and verbal communication skills for effective information delivery to internal and external audiences
