Underwriting Operations Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the Commercial Lines Inspection department, the full-time remote Underwriting Operations Technician will manage complex inspection-related tasks, serve as a key escalation point for the processing team, and ensure high-quality processing standards while liaising with Underwriters, agents, inspection vendors, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex inspection-related tasks and inquiries that cannot be completed by the centralized processing team
• Conduct quality reviews and audits of work completed by the centralized processing team, identifying trends and training opportunities
• Assist Underwriters, agents, inspection vendors, and carriers with escalated or complex inspection matters, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues

Required Qualifications

• Experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, or a related role (commercial lines experience preferred but not required)
• Basic understanding of inspection processes and workflows, or the ability to quickly learn
• Experience working with or supporting a processing support team or shared services team is helpful but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OneNote
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle complex or escalated tasks
